Negotiating Truth

Michael Spenser (i-monk) blogs, here, in response to several letters from "young" calvinists. The series is called, "Letters to a young theologian". The first two include advice I've had to learn along the way, the last rambles a little, but argues for acceptance of all Christian denominations:

  • 1. Realize the inevitably ambivalent and corrosive power of group loyalty.
  • 2. Be suspicious of guilt that comes from crossing the perceived boundaries of a group.
  • 3. Does the logic of a group eventually conclude that other Christians are, in fact, not true believers at all

Thinking of inclusivity, an interesting read here: download pdf (Discussion Principles by D Runcorn. HT: Prodigal Kiwi(s)).
I affirm that ‘all truth is public truth’ (Newbigin)
