Yay!

Amid the Christmas rush (and it really is a rush this year!) the mars-hill.co.nz website clicked over 5,000 pages served since late June when the stat counter went on.

Looking over the popular pages has allowed me to decide on some changes regarding organising the site. Hopefully the facelift will be online by the end of January.

I'm busy re-coding Our Crazy Travels as the hosting company I originally choose is less than reliable. I'm having to scourge my photo libraries and upload them to photobucket then recode the posts. So I'll see my readers intermittently.

You could always upload your photos to the very reliable and nice-to-use flickr...

They've got a nice site and good integration with Blogger and WordPress.

Just my 2p.

Continuing with the geekery - I'd also recommend Goolge Analytics for that all important spying on the people visiting your site and the pages they visit.

The most useful stat for me was how long they were on each page and looking at which page they moved to next.

It must be your lucky day, that's 4p of advice for free =D

At this rate I'll be rich! Does anyone have any recommendations for a cheap and super-reliable host?

At present I'm paying $10/month for 10MB of storage + email, etc. Their service is impeccable, but I'd like to be able to make more resources available.

I use bluehost.com to host www.salis.co.nz and one other site - but I think you already knew that =)

They're technically good, I've yet to try phoning them for help, but that's also a good thing.
