Written on the night of a new moon
I decided to publish this here when the Fire article reminded me of it.
We live,
Flaring brightly in the darkness
Passing through the sky
In a hurry to get somewhere
Like a star
Alone our light is dim
Some brighter than others
Some collapsed on itself, sucking in the light
Like a star
Just gas without the light
Waiting for the spark to come
The blazing star brings life, the ignition brings death
Like a star
Burning up to please us
Existing to guide our walk
My eyes are weary, when I trip who will lift me
Now I live
How can I take my place
Amongst the congregation
High in the Heavenlies I hear a laugh; through Grace
We live,
Flaring brightly in the darkness
Passing through the sky
Where are you going?
