Pacino'd

My broken arm has given me the chance to catch up with some film watching and I must say that I am finally beginning to understand why Al Pacino has been such hot property for so long.

With a filmography of 39 and three more currently in production, he's been quite busy, but hasn't succumbed to too much rubbish.

His uneven stint in Dog Day Afternoon has caught my attention; there's something raw and emotive that the camera manages to pick up. It's made this my favourite hostage movie.

I've enjoyed his appearances in Angels in America and would like to see him in Merchant of Venice (dir. Michael Radford).

And it reminds me that I need to track down Kishen to watch the rest of the Godfather series before we head overseas.
